My wife, Nicole, and I are excited to be at FBC Hooks.  We, along with our kids, Dylan, Megan, Hailey, and Abby have moved from the Dallas, TX area to serve how God sees fit.  It has been our desire to serve our Lord in ministry for many years and I'm grateful that He has given us this opportunity at this time in our lives.

I have been a physical therapist for 22 years while serving in various ministry positions in McAlester, OK and Garland, TX.  However, this will be the greatest opportunity as God is allowing us to make ministry the focus.  I pray that Hooks, Tx will be a place where our family can grow with you as we all grow closer to Christ.

In Christ,

Bro. Grant

I have been surrounded by ministry my entire life.  My father has been a pastor over 30 years.  My mother has been a full time student minister almost 11 years.  Ministry has been an integral part of our family dynamic. I trusted Jesus as my Savior and Lord when I was 8 years old.  I knew of my need for Jesus at an early age.  My faith continued to grow through church and private devotion and at the age of  18 I felt the call to the ministry at church camp. This decision and call took me to Ouachita Baptist University.

I have always had a passion for music and worship, which led me to major in church music.  I served churches during the summer throughout college as a youth/music minister and led worship during school in various churches in our state.  I served my first full time position after I graduated from college.  Many experiences and opportunities in ministry brought me to serve in Texarkana.  This was the place where I fell in love with a girl named Holly.  It has been a great adventure becoming a husband and father to our three children, Chloe, Brooks, and Delilah.  Probably the sweetest children in the world! (they get that from their mama).   I truly am blessed by my sweet wife.  She encourages me and makes me a better man. I cherish our love for one another.  The family was established first.  It is a privilege and high calling to be the Godly head of the home.  My family supports my calling.  They walk with me and are willing to lead.  I am very thankful!

My faith is growing still everyday.  I am not perfect.  I make mistakes, but I serve a God who loves me anyway.  It is this love for Him that brings me joy in worship.  There is a peace in knowing that worship is a direct way to express our love and thankfulness to God.  I am beyond thrilled to lead in worship.  It is an honor to praise Him!  I do not take it for granted.  I look forward to leading God's people.  Worship prepares us for the Word.  What we do in worship and what we do in hearing the Word proclaimed, determines our steps throughout each day.
